Bradgate

Went to Bradgate Park for a bimble today with Alison. Light was a bit rubbish for playing with my toy, but I did at least make the right call that we should watch History Boys (v fantastic, but sad end) in the morning and maybe the sun would burn through the fog in the afternoon.

Trying to be arty...or pretend that there are real rocks in Leicestershire...

We had fun with the timer mode.... (this was our best effort, the first one was mostly grass!)

Not many people are aware of this but Bradgate Park is actually a very dangerous place. Poor Alison first suffered a nasty puncture wound, then got impaled causing her to scream like a girl (not how she described the aforementioned noise). And we were just walking....I mean...its as easy as falling off a log!

The following is titled 'Deer John'

(hahaha geddit???)

Weekend in Norwich

Am in Norwich cos Mini Moby needed an MOT. I want to get a new digital camera before I go to Africa, so I borrowed Esmee's (cos she is lovely, thanks Es). Have been playing with it...as you will see.

Friday night: Discovered my mother is not a bunny boiler....but a Teddy Drowner!!!!! Poor Kevin!
Saturday morning the sun was shining so once I had finished sending birthday e cards to Alison I went outside to play with the camera some more. I have wanted to put this pic on my blog for ages....we have the World's Rudest Gnome living in our garden. It was OK when he still had his fishing rod in his hand to keep him occupied but now.....

The next is one of the best pics I have ever taken....

When I went back indoors Kevin (now recovered) told me that he was still a bit soggy, so I suggested he lie in the sun for a bit to dry off....

Later my brother Jonathan popped round. Within 5 minutes a fight broke out...using the elastic bands I had confiscated off some kids yesterday. I also have video evidence of the well balanced family environment which resulted in the well adjusted and together individual that I am today!

Once the young hooligan left (no, not Pops) we finally got down the city to try to get a camera. Shock, horror...Norwich Jessops didn't have it. Hopefully Sue will be able to go get one for me in Lufbra tomorrow...there's an extra 20% off (ever the bargain hunter, my Ma taught me well). To get over this disappointment we had to console ourselves with traditional chips on the market, and then a Hot Chocolate with Ice Cream (Mmmmm) in the Guildhall.
